Warm blankets from Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank employees once again collected money this year to buy blankets for the people so much less fortunate than themselves. Several Deutsche Bank members of staff went with our Social Services staff to Msawawa where they got the opportunity to see for themselves the happy faces of the beneficiaries as they wrapped themselves in the soft warm blankets.

Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre recently had the distinction of being selected to take part in an international Video-otoscopy project which will benefit local underprivileged 2 – 16 year olds with ear problems. The clinic is the only medical facility in South Africa to be chosen to be part of this cutting edge technology project, which was funded by 2 universities – the University of Pretoria and the University of Umea in Northern Sweden.
