Toys from ACT for little patients

posted on
On 5th December 2014, Alex and her colleagues from ACT Marketing & Advertising arrived at Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre with huge boxes of toys they have been collecting from the staff, friends and family.

Many of the beneficiaries of the services provided by Witkoppen are unemployed and live in poverty without the most basic of necessities. Children are often the worst affected and live in an environment of squalor, where problems associated with poverty, such as overcrowding, hunger, disease, abuse and alcoholism are rife. As we are an entirely donor-funded organisation, we don’t have the funds to spoil our child-patients. All we can hope to achieve is to help with the basics of health & welfare. What a treat it was for these children to receive toys! We say "THANK YOU" to ACT.
