Although Witkoppen Clinic is not 24-hour service facility and does not provide baby delivery services, sometimes babies come faster than expected and are born at the clinic. We do what we can to help, but always send the mom and baby to hospital as soon as it safe to do so. One such occasion was on Monday 9th November, when a baby was born outside the clinic.

Witkoppen and Rotary run a Family Health Day in Diepsloot
In October, Witkoppen Health and Welfare Centre partnered with Rotary to run the Family Health Day, for the third year in a row, for an outreach in the Diepsloot community to provide screening for communicable and non-communicable chronic diseases (including HIV, TB and diabetes) and health promotion and education. Everybody was health promotion talks and encouraged to make use of the medical facilities available to them. There was a very lively atmosphere and the days were well attended.
